More wars, stronger dollar... That's all I can say!

Keep on vowing while printing 60 billion USD worth of yen a month to artificially keep your interest rates near zero. Hope it's not anything like 1992

They keep talking about the weak currency but for me it’s great!

Keep talking!

Be wary is the yen being shorted...

Funds make biggest bet against yen since 2007: McGeever

The latest Commodity Futures Trading Commission data show that speculators' net short yen position is the largest since June 2007, and one of the biggest since yen futures contracts were launched in 1986.

Why does Japan announce this? it will cost them so much more money because Forex traders are collecting the cash.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

Only thing they can do is raise interest rates. Which they won't do.

Won must be stronger than yen too because Korean friends have told me Japan has gotten so cheap and Japanese friends told me Korea is so expensive nowadays.

The two "shared serious concerns about the recent significant depreciation

How their "seriously concerned" talks went:

Korean Finance minister: Our currencies are performing badly apparently, that's what my assisstance tells. how is the situation in your country?

70-year old Suzuki, struggling to stay awake: I think ours too. But no-one cares I think. None of our citizens raised any actual concern. No-one complained. They never do. It's always the "kuso gaijins". Let's just play this mummer's farce and act concerned for those journalists.

Lots of American banks that depended on the Fed cuts will possibly fail, because they bought bonds that loss value do too rate increase

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Wallace, you have the opportunity to make a return on money,by taking advantage of American high interest rates, Japanese that married to American can open a joint account with no problem in America and take advantage of high interest rates

If you tie two rocks together do they sink faster?

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Blablablabla.

nothing the national banks can do. Buying yen signifies weakness, makes global investors loose more faith. Will work for a day, maybe 2. Then the yen will fall deeper.

Raising interest rates is being done finally but it might also have an avert effect on the stock market which will already fall and keep falling.

Time to oppose the almighty dollar at least a little bit !

Does Japan and South Korea really need to be dominated so much ?

We know for a fact Japan and South Korea aren't fully satisfied with the USA so called iron clad defense of Japan and South korea !

No currency should be so dominate !

At the very least, it is insane to talk about the Korean won and the Japanese yen on the same level.

Japan will not be dependent on the IMF in the future, but South Korea's economy has already collapsed twice, and the third one is about to happen.

If the yen's depreciation continues, it will be a tailwind for Japan's trade, and there is no need to raise interest rates. Japan is not as scared of US interest rate hikes as South Korea is.

I would like to enjoy the weak yen for a while, which is the first time in a while. I am very profitable.

Nothing is more empty than these "vows".

If BOJ were serious, when it hit 145, it would've moved, but of course it won't, because it targets ~180 and it will never tell the market that.
