The growth is in spite of their strategy and not thanks to it. Other countries have demonstrated that the economy recovers once the best ways to fight the disease (reducing the importance of the infection with vaccines and treatments) replace lockdowns.

Name one country that has higher economic growth and lower infection rate than China,

You can't.

That is not something that China can be proud of, because other countries have lower death rates than China even if they have more infections,

And your source is . . . .none.

Excellent points worth repeating.

Unfortunately negated completely by the much higher abuses the CCP has done instead. Not every country can brag about using their anti-covid policies to destroy human rights and even used the system to report cases to forcefully isolate people it considered should not demonstrate against something.

China's factory and services activity picked up in June, official data showed Thursday, fueled by the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in major cities such as Shanghai and Beijing.

China is a hypocritically 'communist' nation that unashamedly embraces guided free market hyper capitalism.

But it's prosecution of pandemic profiteering makes it differ from Japan and more ready to bounce back.

Japan prosecuted a few students for creating fake businesses and getting pandemic stimulus funds.

China jailed business owners who pocketed stimulus funds while laying off staff, while in Japan this was the norm.

Individual cases varied but the difference in overall policy is clear.

So as the economic data clearly shows , China's growth is overall rebounding much faster than other nations.

Excellent points worth repeating.

Great success by China showing they can implement a zero covid strategy while growing their economy.

The growth is in spite of their strategy and not thanks to it. Other countries have demonstrated that the economy recovers once the best ways to fight the disease (reducing the importance of the infection with vaccines and treatments) replace lockdowns.

China is the only country in the world with positive growth throughout the entire Covid crisis, and has the lowest infection rate.

That is not something that China can be proud of, because other countries have lower death rates than China even if they have more infections, which means they can control the dangers of the disease much better without having to destroy local economies, take out the human rights of their population or letting people die because of interruptions of the access to health services (as examples of the negative consequences of the zero covid policy).

It becomes clear this approach is not working the moment no international expert recommend it (even if some people like to lie and say they do) and also the moment the government of China opted to hide most of the covid deaths by not reporting any death where the person has any other health problem, which for covid means hiding between 90 and 95% of them.

The non-manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), a key gauge of activity in the world's second-biggest economy, defied expectations and surged to 54.7 points in June after three months of sluggish performance.

Great success by China showing they can implement a zero covid strategy while growing their economy.

Have to give credit where it is due, even though some misinformed people try and criticize China's approach.

Interesting war tactics. Torturing your own population to destroy your enemies economically so they won’t be in a strong enough position after the Taiwan invasion.

This is hardly the Chinese style. Imo the classic Chinese way is through economic leverage, case in point trade with Australia. That is the perfect example and typical of China. The Belt Road Initiative is another strategy along the same lines. Through the use of money and sweet offers they suck you then they have leverage. Buying US treasuries is another example. That is my read on China and many would agree. Manufacturing viruses and exporting it to your enemies is for the little man and typical of those of societies fond of conspiracy theories.

I guess they felt the did enough economic damage to their enemies for now. More coming in more ways than one. Interesting war tactics. Torturing your own population to destroy your enemies economically so they won’t be in a strong enough position after the Taiwan invasion.
