OH COOL. We'll be getting our drink on in Starbucks soon. I can see it now. 1 o'clock in the afternoon, people sitting in front of PCs getting plastered. I don't think it's going to go very well with the snobby big head crowd that sit in there so smugly. Starbucks is about smug. You start selling Asahi Super Dry and then Oyagi will be in there.

Once oyagi gets to drinking, he gets to talking. Next he'll be disturbing the peace. All the vain smug types be upset. Tullys will be number one. Tullys is just as nice as Starbucks but I'm sure they won't start selling six packs.

Haha NetNinja. I don't think things will get that crazy, but it would sure be funny to watch some lubricated old salarymen chatting up the princesses in Starbucks.

But seriously, Starbucks is desperately trying to find a revenue model that works.

I don't think it's that bad of an idea guys. Starbucks is pretty cool, and if someone has the coin to pay for - my guess - premium alcohol, then why not? Must be a cash cow for the government to issue so many alcohol licenses, too. @Ninja: What's wrong with having a few drinks online? Skype-drink ups are a laugh. The snobs that actually dwell in these places might actually need a few drinks to loosen up.

If only they sold liquors. A dash of benedictine or a shot of brandy to hide the taste of their coffee... :-)
