U.S. workers, having struggled for years to achieve economic gains, demanded better wages, benefits and working conditions — and were willing to quit if they didn’t get them.

The neo-liberal governments in most industrialized nations do not want emboldened workers. The whole point of these policies are to have a race to the bottom, workers living paycheck to paycheck, unable to accrue any capital an dependent on meager wages for necessities like health care.

This is the cause of the so-called labor shortage.

At a Jack in the Box restaurant in Sacramento, California, workers walked off the job to protest working conditions, including an air conditioner that constantly broke down and forced them to toil in 100-degree heat.

It's appalling when workers have to protest for an air conditioner in a burger kitchen.

A few weeks back JT ran an article on Starbucks workers trying to collectivize - to get fair rosters and security from aggressive and sometimes violent customers. It's not all about the money.

Why we are never reporting on that politicians are getting rich on Covid?

There is the EU guy who was appointed to negotiate vaccine deals and received millions from the drug companies.

She is not even in prison!

That’s becoming a massive downturn spiral. Look, even if you would get paid much better, which is of course only a rare or theoretical case, then you can’t buy the things you like, because of innovation lacks, supply chain damages, massive inflation triggered price raises, corona pandemic restrictions or it is otherwise impossible as a new taboo, not ‘woke’ enough or political incorrect and such. It’s all step by step and quickly becoming impossible with no money and uninteresting if having money, too.
