First appearance since.the problem emerged... No answers or explanations just a couple.of bows.and.moushiwake gozaimasens... Just shows this guy.doesn't give a toss. If ever there was a CEO that should have stepped down yesterday that's him. Good to see the US lawmakers are not accepting the typical J-inc CEO bull.

“We apologize deeply for the great amount of concern and inconvenience we have caused to everyone,” he said. That's what you call it? An inconvenience?? Your products are killing people worldwide. And "...The problem has persisted for over a decade" How much time you need to figure it out? Fact is the quality of japanese products is on the way down since many years, companies are more concerned about profits than safety nowadays. In any other country the CEO of Takata would be in jail by now.

When will he get arrested for death occurred by negligence ? They obviously knew, he obviously knew and some people died because they did nothing but covering. The part about the bank "supporting" and the "we will not comment" are both on the right line with the company's motto, profit and cover.

Typical Japan Inc, meaningless apology. Why don't you have the guts to apologize for needlessly risking millions of people's lives? Or, maybe for willfully producing a dangerous product despite your own tests showing the problem? No, its the standard "concern and inconvenience". The lack of moral backbone among Japan's corporate "leaders" is staggering.

Yeah, sorry, but DEATH is a little beyond 'inconvenience', and certainly a travesty, unlike the mere money it's cost YOU!

"still under investigation..." (translation): "we are still thinking of an excuse the Americans will buy since a bow does not suffice and they won't let it go".
