Tesla confirms criminal probe into Musk talk of going private

Let the Musk hunt start. Greed is a b***h. Not sure why the guy is so loathed. Has his heart in the right place, does many good things for humanity yet is being hunted like a witch.

I don't know if there is a lack-of-criminal-intent defense here, I think the presumption is that he would have been tweeting in order to goose the stock price -- which, especially if it's false information, that's open and shut securities fraud. And if he had any conversations with people about this before the tweet, and they bought or sold Tesla stock, then there are insider trading implications. It's a real legal mess. I wouldn't want to be Tesla's general counsel. It may explain why their top financial officer quit almost immediately after starting the job.

It's a revolutionary car. My 80-year old father has one and recently drove with his dog from California across the country. A question is what will happen to the company without Musk.

Right, so the rich guy who does some good, but always with an eye on his own profits, gets a pass from you for being an over bearing dick?

I highly doubt he had his heart in the right place when he called the British guy a ped, more like he got his pride hurt, and along with folks short selling his company, he is like Trump, a guy who lashes out at anyone and everyone who talks against him!

Reckless, he had no trouble; to check it out is one reason he went (plus, his wife had just died after a very lengthy illness). The car kept him informed of recharging sites - distinguishing between the slow and fast types - and, as his itinerary was input, gave him recommendations of where and when to stop. He was very satisfied (he's a former Intel scientist, so that says a lot).

The Germans are coming. Tesla will be history in a few years..

Musk needs some time picking up trash on the side of the road, i.e. community service for stock price manipulation.

He knows better, but lives in his tiny bubble. Time to break it, so he can better connect with normal people, and do as much good as possible.
