Jack and the Beanstalk
It is shocking to me that Tesla's self driving car was so reliant on video data and AI analysis of that data that it careened into a truck mistaking it for a wide section of sky. This tells me that they are not using radar to detect obstacles. Fools.

Gosh, thanks for the defensive vitriol Kokuzi. Own any Tesla stock? From the link you posted: "Neither Autopilot nor the driver noticed the white side of the tractor trailer against a brightly lit sky, so the brake was not applied. " If that differs in some way from what I wrote, explain. You know, explanations go a lot further just shouting "NONSENSE" and posting a link to a blog?

J and the B: check the facts before writing such nonsense as "mistaking it for... sky". https://www.teslamotors.com/blog/tragic-loss

I seriously doubt that. For the foreseeable future oil is here to stay. Where would you charge an electric car after if the charge runs out? Besides, even though its my country, I'll be one of the first to admit that America can't manufacture in terms of quality that Japan or South Korea can.

Where would you fill up with gasoline if the gas in a gas-powered car runs out?
