Japan Inc. is faring not badly during the pandemic, as I predicted 2 years ago. The situation is way more critical elsewhere in the world, like lockdown China, no-gas Europe, and super-inflation US.

I've still got a 15 month wait to receive delivery of my next Toyota.

Where are these profits going to? Are regular workers going to have better salaries or working conditions? Bet you not.

Average estimated salary (annual), including base with bonus, at Toyota works out to something like $62/hr., while the estimated median salary is about $63/hr. 

Also, Toyota agreed that its union demand for annual salary (roughly the same as the previous year) and bonus hikes (worth 6.9 months of pay) will be fully met in the new fiscal year.

youre confusion Toyota with VW, has Toyota been fined for any of that in the US!?

Hino Trucks, a Toyota subsidiary have been caught falsifying emissions data.

Do you realise and these latest results are proof and a fact, productive over the last 30 years has increased by 50% overall but wages have stay stagnate over the same period. When I say the minimum wage should be double I know that the top end of town can well a truly afford it. It not unworkable has we all been told. Even after doubling the minimum wage all these earner will still spend every yen with little to put away. It will all go back into the local economy.

The yen went 20% down. That's why Toyota got the numbers automatically a 20% higher.

Toyota said its robust results were due in part to beneficial foreign exchange rates, with a cheaper yen helping inflate profits from sales abroad.

This is yet another example how weak yen is helping Japanese companies (and economy).
