Yeah, I'm glad I didn't buy a Toyota. In my life probably never will.

My new Ford Festa ST is awesome!

The automaker has recalled almost 11 million vehicles since the start of the year, dealing another blow to its once-stellar reputation for quality and safety.

That's a big number by anyone's standard. Toyota is such a key element of Japan's economy. I hope they get their quality issues behind them before it does any permanent damage.

most car companies would way the odds and not disclose any potential life threatening problems...

My new Ford Festa ST is awesome! Festa are crap, never last as long as a Corolla, which is why the Corolla is the biggest selling model of all time. if it wasnt for the $50+ billion bailout of the American auto industry, Ford would have closed because the parts industry would of collapsed. Nice to buy a car that is basically funded by the taxpayer

Toyota always seem to put there hands up and say we've got a problem, but ford and other companies buried there heads in the sand and denied that they had problems with there cars in the 70,s one of those models use to explode into flames when they were involved in a rear shunt, ford denied this in court after experts proved that it was there fault, it was down to a 50 cent shut off valve they wouldn't fit. well done Toyota for being honest

Not Ford's fault - they didn't take bailout money. Other car factories in US would've gone down too since they get their parts from the US parts industry as well. In total, U.S. Treasury spent $421.8 billion to rescue financial institutions and the auto industry, and it has recovered $432.7 billion so far — a tidy $10.9 billion profit — including the GM losses. So the U.S. government actually gained money - that's so rare people should be thankful.

well done Toyota for being honest

GM is 13 million cars honest LOL

GM is 13 million cars honest yeah thats why theyve fired many top executives for the cover up of ignition switch problems that have been lnked to deaths, class action lawsuits are coming there way. and no the new GM is saying they shouldnt be sued because it was the old GMs problems. LOL and if you do some reseach the American car market is the most heavily subsidized in the world. over $1000 for every vehicle manufactured. which probably wont matter within the next 10years as most will probably be made in Mexico.
