The monthly pay was raised by up to 28,440 yen.

That doesn't mean much to us who are not Toyota workers. What is that in terms of a percent increase of take-home pay? And does it match, beat or fall short of consumer inflation?

Why don't Japanese journalists do a bit of work and thinking instead of just parroting what big corporations and other organizations tell them?

It’s also crazy that you can be the countries biggest corporation and have salaries that low in general but yes, how about pressuring non top rengo members to increase salaries too.

Here we go again. Higher prices for Aomori apples will fuel food inflation and eat yet again into real wages growth. I look forward to reading in about a year’s time the story about real wages growth having declined yet again in 2025.

J.L. Toyota 28K yen compared to yr salary. Casio calculator. No size fits all nowadays. I would be more interested in the production incremental v O/T incremental v quality incremental. Paid to get on the train twice a day, Or get some production improvement. and be able to afford the inflation prices. The topic was about car production line workers.
