I did get a flat tire once on one of my Hyundai’s. And I have to wash it once in a while.

"Toyota's dominance is mainly due to long term dominance in third world countries."

Paraphrasing (Not):

1) "Toyota enjoys market dominance in more than 170 countries all over the world."

2) "Toyota generated approx. 87 billion US dollars of revenue from North America.

Sales of the company were $249.4B in May 2021.

Market capitalization of Toyota was $219.2B in May 2021.

Toyota sold 8,958 thousand automobiles in the fiscal year 2020.@

3) "Having said so, Toyota will do just fine despite any chip shortage no matter what the haters say."

4) Now, stick that in yer pipe and smoke it.

i am not surprised at all, buyer with heart and common sense will choose Toyota for sure.reliability, variations and quality, dont need to mention resale value.

Buy our two then. I'm sick of forking out a minimum of $1000 or more every time one of them needs any kind of work and I hate working on them myself. They're made to be screwed together rapidly and cheaply with no consideration for fixing things when they break. Use and throw away. Never buy another Toyota again.

I was driving past a row of dealers today. The lots were empty, except for used cars. Not a single new car at the Cadillac, Hyundai, Ford…

One of my cars is a Hyundai SUV. I got a letter offering to buy it at 25% over book value.

The chip shortage underscores the folly of concentrating the global supply chain in and around China, a communist dictatorship whose ultimate goal is global domination of industry.

What the heck are you talking about? One of the biggest shortfalls is from a fire in the plant at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Toyota's dominance is mainly due to long term dominance in third world countries.

I reckon that explains why Toyota is the number one car maker in the US.

Toyota's dominance is mainly due to long term dominance in third world countries. As these markets develop and appreciate premium cars as opposed to whitegoods on wheels, Toyota will flunk like in Europe. Also, Toyota's reliability is not the same as before. In Australia, although number 1 seller in 2021 due to its utes, Toyota had the highest number of recalls amongst all brands.

My concern level for Toyota’s well being doesn’t amount to much..I’m sure they have plenty of money

Aside from being hit by a chip shortage the lead image makes me think a couple of models were hit with the ugly stick!

It's certainly not about Tesla and other EVs eating Toyota's lunch...

Yeah right. Toyota sold 10 times as many vehicles last year than Musk did and topped global rankings for a 2nd year in a row. You call that "underperforming"?

The chip shortage underscores the folly of concentrating the global supply chain in and around China, a communist dictatorship whose ultimate goal is global domination of industry.
