Trump is actually creating a more level playing field vis a vis the Asians. To cite one of many, many examples, the Chinese and Koreans have always had and continue to slap US cars with tariffs. Yet it's outrageous if the US does the same?
Such distorted double standards are entrenched within the "free trade" (LOL) globalized world order.

Trump hasnt even applied 25% yet on 5/6ths of the tariffs on China.
Also, how much of a factor are exports? Its middle income asian economies that potentially standcto lose and gain the most as they are both more reliant on exports and secondly may pick up some trade, like Vietnam, which is bucking the trend
