UAW oppose any modern technology for automaking. Demanding laborers only. Japanese automakers in USA are not unionized so they train their workers for remote controlled machines that Union oppose. Thr late comer Mitsubishi went Illinois and it became first unionized Japanese brand automaker and recently it said closing and getting out of automaking business in USA. I don't think GM will create auto sales in Japan. Theirs are cars that drivers sit on left side.

Ought to sell them in Japan. And why not sell them in USA or Canada if there is consumer demand? Lots of people buy the junky Kia and other Korean imports. UAW whiners.

Oh, I hear you. I'm not contesting that. But UAW members don't belong to this group. Their monopoly has squeezed the balls of the manufacturers, until their (and ONLY THEIR) salaries were raised up to the 70USD/hour rate... In the very same time, their quality of work has dropped, to the point of making all US manufacturers the laughing stock of the world. Yes, it's Made in China (or everywhere else) but it's a better car, at a lower price, because it's not made by UAW workers...

That's a funny idea of justice for $70 usd/hr American Union workers are the cause of GM's problems when "CEO's make more than $9,200 an hour"? (Big Three compensation isn't available after the Taxpayer bailed them out, that wouldn't be cricket.)

It's good that so many approve of China building GM's exports to America. Those Union's sure do have their pay structures upside down. The penalty for Union agitators in China is death. The US Unions should be thankful for unemployment.

There's a compromise everyone can understand.

Nice to have the Taxpayer bailout GM. That $11 Billion was well spent. "making all US manufacturers the laughing stock of the world". Those Unions, they are all a real bunch of a**holes. Hope their kids enjoy living in those MiniVans.

If their impact is so low on the business and their compensation is so high, well the obvious conclusion is eleven billion of US Taxpayer money to bailout GM's mismanagement so the Detroit-based carmaker could install a huge production base over the past decade in China is a success story for all Americans.

The corollary is if only US Taxpayers would pay GM more, more jobs and products could be made in China. Isn't that the definition of win-win-win? But, hey, who cares after your $9,000.00 and hour comes rolling in. The failure of GM is still the fault of their unemployed American losers as Donald Trump calls them.
