I predicted a sad outlook for this great company back when the pro-remain UK government stupidly approved the sale. The Uk was crazy to hand over its greatest IT asset to foreigners.

If anything, I would want both the UK and US to investigate SoftBank and Masayoshi Son for their collusion with the Chinese military and the Chinese Communist Party. SoftBank sold its JV operation in China to a state Chinese military company who may have gained knowledge on core technologies through espionage.
If Son was found out to have been colluding with China, he deserved a Meng Wanzhou treatment in the American supermax prison for conspiracy against the West.

selling of ARM to nvidia is the most ridiculous thing softbank ever did. it's the heights of stupidity. UK government was even more stupid to approve ARM sale to softbank.

That was David Cameron, the unhinged Thatcherite free marketeer who also gave the UK a brutal austerity program and Brexit. And then ran away from it all. He'll go down in history as a catastrophic failure, one of the worst leaders any major country has suffered.
