The operator of Japanese cheap-chic clothing chain Uniqlo on Wednesday opened a store in Melbourne, its first store in Australia.
The store is located in Emporium Melbourne, a brand new retail complex in the heart of Melbourne's city center. It occupies nearly 2,180 square meters and is spread over four floors.
The store is the latest step in the ongoing international expansion of the company, which has more than 1,200 stores worldwide.

Hear hear sightclops -- will leave my uniqlo shopping to my annual trip to Japan

i knew the prices would be lame. Just like Daiso shops are $2.80.
Anything brought over to Australia always gets the "stupid aussie's willingly pay any price" tax added on
yoshisan88
Do you really expect Daiso in Australia can be selling their goods for 100 yens? $2.80 per item is a bargain in Australia. Who wants to run a business that loses money?

Get them while stocks last - Uni Qlo Cashmere sweaters - from only $130! (13,000 yen or thereabouts)
