Retail sales rose 8.0% year-on-year in November, compared with an expected 7.6%, buoyed by the November Singles Day shopping extravaganza

Now theres a great idea for the economy, Singles Day where you go out and splurge upon your self for being single and enjoying your hard earned money all by yourself, buy what ever you like so long as you can afford it.

And develop the culture so if you do not spend up large on yourself there is a big societal guilt trip !

Great way to boost spending !

and the govt gets all the consumption tax !

well seems like Chinas dependency on the US isnt as much as people wished. China really hasnt even started to push it domestic consumption, when it does it would take an idiot to be left out, even Musk can see the writing on the wall his China gigafactory will be producing EV for the Chinese market soon, American produced ones are just too expensive with the high US salaries attached. American companies take note leave China at you own peril. Meanwhile US manufacturing continues to decline even under Trump
