Wow great mini board!
Probably want answers from Nissan that they are not prepared to give
GW

It is interesting a race car driver is part of this process. Makes me think that this group is merely for show and the real decision is to be made by someone else. I think Nissan also needs to determine if the new Chairman will be Japanese or another gaikokujin. They will also need to make sure the replacement is not somehow intertwined in this web.
Nissan has a price to earnings ratio of 5.4, and pays 5.5% dividends. In addition to all entertainment provided this may provide an interesting investment opportunity as well.
Renault (holding greater than 40% of shares) will not let the company fail.

Nissan unhappy ???.Why did all the Japanese staffs did not think of this situation when they were bankrupted ???. This is a case of greedy Japanese people, who want everything that they can get even the life of Carlos ???.In Japanese, it is called yokubo.

Good luck to next boss. He/she'll have to deal with :
-shrinking/disappearing profit (some experts say Nissan may already be in red this year, without incorporation of the Chinese branch)
-several scandals of cheating on norms, diesel etc
-atmosphere of "black business"
-uncertain future of car making in post-Brexit UK
-uncertain future of whatever-making in Japan (shortage of factory worker...)
Probably one of the only woman that ever worked for/with J-car world at something else than serving tea and sitting on the car in bikini. She is probably as smart and knowlegeable of the industry as the old beards usually chosen for such positions.
Due to the way Ghosn has treated Nissan for 2 decades, they may soon be unable to sell anything but their buildings and old scraps of metal.

So America has Trump, UK has Brexit, now Japan has this , unravelling their very core.
What started three years ago, by Macron, has become a full on power struggle, and I'm afraid poor old Ghosn is just caught up in it, as is Saikawa.
Hope they can save face and get some leadership team back, you can't last long at the top of the automobile industry without very strong Directors, supported by the shareholders.
Why did Japan not buy more shares ?
