only 1% of products bought on black friday are still being used 6 months later. they’re in a drawer or closet, broken, or just not used anymore.

Hmm, but I was told endlessly that inflation was squeezing people's budgets, so we had to vote Republican this year. It's almost as this this angle was played up for political purposes and didn't match the actual situation on the ground.
Remember, until Inaguration Day, we're still in Biden's economy. I highly, highly doubt that the average consumer is thinking that Trump will be president in two months, so I'll spend more on this year's Christmas. If thr money supposedly wasn't there because of inflation, it's not going to magically arrive a couple of weeks later.
