"Vaccine mandates in U.S. create conflict with defiant workers"

Shouldn't the head ... defiant soon to be ex workers?

Good on them! This Forced Covid vaccination insanity has to stop!

Well done. Fight for your right to bodily autonomy and against segregation!

The Biden administration, public health officials and many business leaders agree that vaccine requirements are legal,

The elites forcing the commoners into submission.

The defiant workers make up a small fraction of the overall workforce,

not a small number if you consider 10% of a 160 million workforce. Some companies and public service are delaying or canceling their mandates

where is the written order from Biden? There isn’t one. “Press conference” mandate.

My place of employment said either get vaccinated or get weekly COVID-19 test that you have to pay for. About 6 people started talking about their Constitutional Rights and they were reminded that my home state of North Carolina is a right to work state and they could be fired for any reason or no reason at all. Two people were fired with cause and they will not get unemployment.

Good. People who endanger others by refusing to follow health and safety rules do not have the right to do so.

Those who encourage do not have that right either. This is the law all over the world.

Haven't they already acknowledged that the mandates are legal by availing of legal remedies?

Thousands of people have sought religious or medical exemptions that were rejected; others won’t stand to be told what to do and have quit or been fired.

The government has no right to force private business to fire hard working people,

But it does have the right to mandate new safety regulations that include vaccination for dangerous and contagious diseases and viruses.

And the responsibility

Things are going to get even dicier when it becomes crystal clear, like it has in Israel, that the protection these vaccines offer wanes quite considerably. What are now mandates for 2 doses, will turn into ongoing mandates for 6 monthly booster doses, potentially for years.

Already one state in Aus has suggested this will be the case. So it will be a case of moving state, perhaps even countries, if you dont want a vaccine every 6 months.

Buh bye! Portugal has transitioned from the pandemic stage to the endemic stage because 100% of adults over 50 are vaccinated. The US will never reach the endemic stage if people continue to place politics and half-baked conspiracies over science. Everyone in my office is fully vaccinated. We were all vaccinated as soon as the vaccine was made available.

"Close to 100% of people over the age of 50 have received at least one vaccine dose, according to the Portuguese government. For those between the ages of 25 and 49 it is 95% and from 12 to 17 it is 88%. Some 89% of Portugal’s entire population of 10 million has had at least one vaccine dose, not far behind the rate in the world-leading United Arab Emirates, compared with 65% in the U.S. and 73% in the U.K., according to Oxford University’s Our World in Data."

But the point is vaccines wane. Israel had a very high vaccine rate. Singapore had 80% double dosed.

Unless Portugal has stumbled upon the holy grail, I guarantee you will be pressured for boosters.

Its just a matter of when and probably depends on over what timeframe the majority of your population vaccinated.

And at this point a decision needs to be made.

Btw, 1 million Israeli's will soon loose their "green pass" because they have not gotten their mandated boosters.

In a country of just under 10 million....

Resist!

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Still waiting for people to acknowledge that rights come with responsibilities and that everyone has a responsibility to their family, their community and to their nation to do everything, every single little thing, to stop the spread of this pandemic. It is not about what you want right at this instant. There are times when there larger things to be dealt with in life than one's immediate wants and this is such a time. If everyone, or if enough people, just do what they want with no thought to the deleterious affects of their actions then a lot more people will suffer and die needlessly.

Resist!

Resist ignorance and stubborn selfishness. There, I fixed it for you.

Combine it with the annual flu shot. Those only last about a year too. What's the problem?

The vast, vast majority of people where I live never get a flu shot. Its for the elderly population and we are not talking about yearly, we are talking about 6 monthly, for a technology that is barely 2 years old.

I think far more attention needs to be paid to non vaccine treatments. Its becoming increasingly obvious that looking to the vaccine as the savior is a mistake. You also pushing a significant portion of society into the underground at a time when countries like America are already heavily divided and suffering huge amounts of substance abuse and homelessness. Do you want to add to the problem?

Interesting. The left seems to think its ok to kill millions of unborn children, but its not ok for somebody to refuse a vaccine that kills 1% - 3% of those it infects....Okkkk then.

The left seems to think its ok to kill millions of unborn children.

Exaggerate much. CDC data shows just under 650,000 for 2018-2020. The actual number of abortions per 1,000 women of child bearing age in the US has fallen since abortion was legalized. The total number of abortions in the US fell over 46% from 1990 through 2017. Sort of contradicts the claims that restricting access to abortions will result in fewer abortions.

but its not ok for somebody to refuse a vaccine that kills 1% - 3% of those it infects..

Covid-19 has killed 728,705 Americans in a little over a year and a half. A major difference is that abortions are not communicable. You can't die from some else's abortion but the Covid-19 you transmit to someone else due to your negligence in not wearing a mask or practicing social distancing can very much kill someone or subject them to a long lasting debilitating illness. Take responsibility for the germs you might spread unknowingly. Have some respect for your neighbors and co-workers. You do not have a right to infect them.

So many people scared of a needle. How embarrassing for them. Need a booster shot every six months? So what. Supposed to get dental checkups every six months too. Get your booster at your dentist and hit two birds with one stone.

Not happy with the speed the vaccines were researched and released? It's called an emergency for a reason. More money than is ever made available for other research was made available in every nation that tried to make their own vaccine and most failed to pass the testing stages. Those that did, did so because the testing showed they worked. You want long term testing during a world wide emergency? Are you daft or just inhuman? Saving lives was the goal and it has worked outstandingly. Many have died of covid but many more have been saved by getting vaccinated.

There is no courage without fear. You fear the vaccine but show courage and get vaccinated. The next life it saves could be your own.

The government has no right to force private business to fire hard working people, especially when these people put food the table and provide a roof for their kids to live under.

And most especially when Congress, Congressional Staff and even US Postal Workers are exempt from the mandate.

The mandates are cruel, immoral and unconstitutional.

And nobody has the right to be a disease carrying danger to themselves or others. Nobody has the right to be a Typhoid Mary. Nobody.

If you don't have the respect for others or even yourself, you shouldn't be allowed anywhere. This CoVid-19 is not something to be fooling with. I got vaxxed twice already and I probably will again this December. I played roulette for real once in Nevada and that was enough, the odds in that game are so high. Don't play roulette with your life or others.

I detest wearing hard hats when I was working in heavy construction and mining. Then it was long sleeve and pants. Then it was high vis safety clothing. I detested wearing all them because it infringes on my rights. But accident and injuries fall each time these infringement were made law on all work site. Without wearing safety item you can not work. The same go for decease. I predicted No Jab No Pay. There is no way around these infringement of one's rights because it a heath/safety and occupational law that take the community safety first before a individual safety.
