VW taps head of Porsche to be new CEO amid emissions scandal

yes VW owns Audi and Porsche

It is not just VW had problems, US found many brands before with problems. I am sure VW will be doing good again in the future.

I thought Volkswagen and Porsche were the same company.

VW just started advertising big time in Japan about 2 years ago. Even I, who watch almost no television, have seen some of their commercials. Then I started seeing VWs on the street. Now this? Goodby VW in Japan. If they do this kind of thing, what else might be wrong with their cars?

VW group consists of Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ducati, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Scania and MAN. I suppose all of them are tainted by association

world’s top-selling automaker, it only managed to just beat Toyota in totally vehicles sold, (about 10million) but this was because of heavy discounting and as we see now cutting corners on quality to get that title. Toyota while selling almost the same number of vehicles made about 25%、$5billion more profit. Im guessing VW they wont be the top selling automaker next year.

I wonder how is the Volkswagen company phoylosophy?. "Don't play by the rules, just sell smokers"
