Unfortunately buying/possession of kiddy porn is not illegal in this country so its most likely a copyright infringement or mosaic issue.

i BEG to question WHY, are these men arrested???. ITS PORN, NO MOSAIC. Japan really needs to aboloish the mosaic issue, then there will be no raids or yakuza-related peddling of porn underground, instead, the police should confiscate the kiddie porn mangas you can pick up in ANY convenience store, book shop and manga-kisa, This act of non-perverse japan has to end. Imagine all these mosaics on the videos, BUT, porn peddling on the streets, health, soapland, massage,subway chikan,upskirts,peddling panties, and other forms of perversion is rampant here.

You must have missed the part about child pornography, apparantly these guys were kiddie pervs and supporting kiddie perv clientele. Hopefully these arrests lead to bunch more.

Chinpira : are you sure ? Pedophile porn is not illegal (for buying or possession) ? I had already understood that Japan is one of the biggest brothels on earth (although not as much advertised for that as some other countries of the area), but what strikes me now is the perversity. Obscenity is not in the porn (which every person is free to view or not) but in the japanese society itself.

The lesson is that crime pays for a while but eventually you get busted and that's true no matter what you are peddling.

Boy, many of you see a lot of gray when it comes to child porn which is quite unbelievable. Children are being abused and hurt here so don't care if you own it, buy it, or make it all are responsible for the proliferation fo it.

imagawa: As sick as it sounds owning child porn in Japan is not illegal only distribution, selling and making. Japan really is so far behind on this issue they really need to fix this.

what % was the kiddie porn? how many of the 120,000 are going to be sweating? The rest watching the regular stuff are just normal people.
