Police said Sunday they have found another 129 stolen application forms to a kindergarten in Funabashi at the home of a man who was arrested earlier for stealing application forms from a kindergarten in Chuo Ward, Chiba Prefecture.

According to police, Shunsuke Uchino, 24, has been arrested for stealing 11 preschoolers’ application forms to the kindergarten in January, Fuji TV reported.

Police said that on Feb 22, another 129 application forms to a different kindergarten in Funabashi were found at Uchino's apartment.

Police also suspect that Uchino has made about 20 silent phone calls to six households, using the stolen application forms.

Police believe he may also be involved in 10 similar cases of theft at kindergartens in Chiba Prefecture.

Was this guy working for the Japanese mail? did he intercept the forms? did he break into the schools? did he live by a school? thus IF these applications didn't get to the school, then the children don't get into the school thus, cuts out/down the noise? and why didn't he destroy the paper work/ why keep them? unless it was for something more sinister. I think that there is something more to this story that will come out.

Or he just gets off on kindergarten applications??? honestly, I'm at a loss for words, except to say this guy is definitely a few chu-hai short of a hanami party...

"He did it to get the names addresses and phone numbers the mothers of the kindergarten students"

Every so often you hear of these aggregate controlling clowns, doing Japanese style manipulations, from apartment complex in house anglers, to religious group pot leeches, and just about everything else , where group information is involved. as they say: You can take nationalist out of the country BUT you cant take the nationalist out of the country

Why? What is his motives/intentions for stealing those application forms? I agree some details are missing here.

I don't get it.....

What was his end game here? Some details are missing here.

Naw, the only speedy entry he's worried about has to do with the moms. Those applications have their names addresses and phone numbers. He could stand outside the kindergartens and "shop" as they drop off their children. Many schools require the moms to wear name tags to make the "omukai" go more smoothly.

Did he has a child? And I guess he was refused to enter the child by kindergarden.Because it's difficult to enter kindergarden which is serious problem in Japan.

He obviously did this to have some food on his table. As someone stated, as hard as it is to get into the kindergarden this age, he is making it harder - for some. By stealing, "withdrawing" the applications, he can promote the families he had called with speedy entry. Might as well get paid for "helping them out".

Is this a newly discovered form of deviant behavior?

Was he trying to get his own kid into kindergarten, so he stole the applications of rival children so as to give his child better odds?

Were other kids bullying his kid, so he got those parents' home phone numbers from the forms and then made these silent phone calls to scare them?

I'm trying to come up with a theory that makes sense. I can't think of any reason to steal application forms for a kindergarten, though considering how hard it can be to get into one, I'm not surprised if some of the parents have been driven nuts.

I'm not understanding why this guy did this?

Either he's a pedophile waiting to happen, or he's after the young mothers

Creepy.

How did he get into their admin office?

When I ride my bike even near a school their janitors give me the scrutinized slant eyes.

We usually read stories about guys stealing women underweaver, school uniforms, school shoes and many weird things but stealing application forms for kindergarten that is a first in a decade for me. And for what? Silent calls? You really thought cops could not trace your phone calls? This is beyond stupid.

Contrary to popular belief, some young guys here seem to have plenty of time...

Kindergartens are hard enough to get into without nuts like this making it even harder! He needs severe and lasting punishment, jail time and a fine.

Sounds like someone interested in small children and/or plain crazy.

Why? What is the scam? I'm not understanding why this guy did this?

This goes beyond the typical bizarre story in the crime section.

I wonder what he is trying to pull... some kind of blackmail scheme?
