@khulifi Don't be so quick to judge, he might have been defending himself from a potential murderer

Very sad. I blame TV: you can see graphic explicit stabbing scenes on the box at all times of day. My six year-old even jokes about stabbing, although he has a healthy fear of sharp knives at home.

He is 14, so nothing will happen to him. In the event, it sounds more like a stupid teenager fight than a murder attempt.

I miss the days when two boys could fight it off, then go home and forget about it, without a stabbing or a GSW. Am I getting too old?

Well, as posters in an internet forum, we gotta find somebody to blame. Parents, teachers, society in general, TV, video games ...

Me? I blame the kid who stabbed the other kid.

The boy and his family need some type of therapy and counseling. Don't sweep this under the rug.

Two more bad apples. At least he did not hang him nude off a bridge and drop him.

Still, nothing like crime in many other countries.

This is not such an off-beat statement. If you have seen some of the teenage TV dramas you would know they are full of violence, fighting, bullying and how depressed and emotionally insecure students deal with their problems. Many of the Japanese teenage movies are much worse. Sadly, many of these stories are real and are acted out every day in schools.

Not a dang thing. But his parents will have to pay for it.

These things are acted out in every major city every day in every major country. Sadly....

TV shouldn't be blamed for kids not being able to tell right from wrong. Its all in the upbringing of the child
