A 15-year-old boy was attacked by a masked burglar who broke into his family’s home in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, early on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred just after midnight Monday when the teenage son detected the presence of the masked intruder inside the home, Fuji TV reported. The burglar hit the boy, leaving him with a fractured skull, and then fled. None of the other family members were injured, police said.

The boy lives with his parents on the third floor of the building. His grandfather lives on the second floor and the first floor is a barber shop. The home safe on the second floor was opened, and money was stolen, police said.

More like the kid opened it, and grandpa caught him and whacked him too hard, so they had to make up a story to cover up

I bet this 15 year old with a fractured skull may have a different opinion than yours.

And yet, one opinion does not determine whether or not a country is safe. The violent crime rate in that country is how that determination is made.

The safe was opened, wonder if it was forced open or not?

Since we are all speculating,

"Boy admits giving his friend keys to the safe. Friend admits to hitting boy to make the burglary look authentic. Boys say they planned to split the loot. "

Age-old burglary pattern. Nothing new if this is the case.

It shouldn't be too hard to track down this loser. He had to be someone familiar with the family to know where the safe is.

Looking forward to hearing what really happened this weekend.

Something along the lines of "Boy admits he jimmied open the safe, but then slipped and fractured his skull."
