The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office has decided to send a 15-year-old girl who stabbed a 53-year-old woman and her 19-year-old daughter in a random attack near Shibuya Station in August, to a family court.

The incident occurred at around 7:20 p.m. on Aug 20. The girl, a junior high school student from Toda, Saitama Prefecture, told police she stabbed the two victims as a practice run to see if she was capable of killing a person because she wanted to kill her mother and then get the death penalty, Kyodo News reported. She used a kitchen knife in the attacks and also had three small knives with her at the time.

The victims were both stabbed in the back. The 19-year-old girl had a knife wound about 10 centimeters deep. However, their wounds were not life-threatening, doctors said.

Oh boy! This one has some serious issues. You have to wonder how a modern society can produce young delusional psychopaths like this.

A few days ago, here in BC, a teenaged girl stabbed two people in a park, killed them both, and is being tried as an adult for first-degree murder. Makes me wonder what's wrong with Japan, especially when it happens in that country a lot more often than it does here. Of course, it's cultural. And that means the culture really must change.

10cm deep and not life threatening? I'm not a doctor but if someone stuck a knife in me 10cm, I would consider my life threatened.

I think the doctors, who are treating her, can judge HER situation better than YOU do. Just because it would be life threatening for you, it doesn't mean it's the same for her, and vice versa.

Im not referring to the seriousness of the injury, more the intention of the person with the knife. Sticking a knife in someone's back to the depth of 10cm take a lot of force. I would suggest that her intention would have been to "threaten her life". This could have easily have been fatal.

Scary... Mother what have you done why your daughter wanted to kill you,?

pretty sad how a daughter would want to kill her own mother. That is some serious hatred inside her heart. I wonder what we can do to help people like this? I wonder if people will try to get help with their mental illnesses.
