Police in Yokohama have arrested a 17-year-old private high school student for cutting a 25-year-old woman's hair while they were on a train.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 7:45 a.m. on Monday on a train on the JR Yokohama Line between Nakayama and Kamoi stations. Fuji TV reported that the boy used a pair of scissors to snip some of the woman's hair from behind. Police said the woman realized her hair had been cut and grabbed the boy as he got off the train at Kamoi Station. She then called for help from station staff.

The boy was quoted by police as saying he cut the woman's hair because it sexually aroused him.

He gets sexually aroused by cutting hair? I PRAY he doesn't become a barber or hair stylist!

Finally someone that wasn't drunk and didn't remember anything!

Can somebody get that kid an adult magazine?

Sexually aroused by cutting hair? When I was 17 perusing the pages of Ribald did it for me. Just hope he isn't aroused by the feel of scissors.

It's funny. This would make News of the Weird in other countries, but just another day in Jland!

I understood the meaning as the ladies hair aroused him not the act of cutting the hair.

Whatever floats your boat I guess

Imagine him going through passport control where the immigration officer asks, "Any arrests?" "Yes, I was arrested for hair cutting with intent." There's not cutting around this one.

No one has yet commented on what it felt like to lose her hair. There was serial cutter on the London Underground in the eighties. As a result and because my hair is a metre long, I keep it safely to my side when on public transport. To lose it this way would be akin to rape!

Free haircuts are nice, but it's polite to be asked first.

You're right. Saw this on the news last night, with the boy planning on taking it home for sexual arousal (eww). He really does need help.

"i would have excused him if he had said it was a prank"

He's not even ready to be a full on CHIKAN yet but at SEVENTEEN-YEARS-OLD he is well on the way. This is how the SERIAL RAPISTS and SERIAL KILLERS start their life of crime.

"Saw this on the news last night, with the boy planning on taking it home for sexual arousal"

Yes. SERIAL RAPISTS and SERIAL KILLERS often take "trophies" from their victims to keep and relive the experience.

It was due to the stress thinking about the stress he's going to have 5 years from now at his job.

I see many people with mental problems on the train every day, mostly harmless but the numbers are stagering

What arouses him, the feel, the sight or the smell, I wonder? Remonds me somewhat of the protagonist Grenouille in 'Perfume'.

(my brother says) that there are a lot of adult web sites with lots of categories to choose from, but HE says that he's never seen one for hair cutting. I am surprised that the woman didn't stab him with the scissors, lets face it guys, you never ever chop or cut a womans hair with out permission, (unless your a hair dresser/stylist)

you can say this got alittle hairy

Huhhhh, fair enough!

I guess the young bloke deserves points for being honest but i would have excused him if he had said it was a prank. White lies dude, white lies.
