19-year-old girl arrested for sending death threats to Miyagi TV station

A 19-year-old girl was arrested on Monday for sending threatening messages to Tohoku Broadcasting Corp (TBC) in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, after it refused to broadcast her messages to her company and co-worker, requesting a job position she prefers and a date with a co-worker.

According to police investigations, the girl allegedly sent emails to TBC seven times from Oct 24 to 29, which said that if they didn't broadcast her messages, she would kill someone.

The girl has admitted to the allegations, saying she desperately wanted the job and for her co-worker to take notice of her, police said.

I'm sure he would of taken notice, and probably taken a restraining order out on her. Mad Bint!!!

Well, I would assume that her co-worker is now taking notice of her. Something like a court order to prevent this pyscho from coming within 500 metres of the co-worker. Her company probably also now recognizes her "talent" for getting noticed. Perhaps a corporate PR job is now in order (not).

Seriously however, thepro's comment sums this up beautifully "Huh?" This simply defies belief, and although I consider myself an educated person, I have some difficulty in getting my head around this story.

OMG is this girl really serious, like I always say in all my comments in life you always have options. If a certain guy or girl does not like you someone else will, if you employer don't promote you, someone or another company will. Now I believe in a country like Japan there has to be alot off options out there for a girl.

This society breeds mental illness. Think about it. Spoiled bubble era kids who think everything they want should be theirs. Yet they have to balance their little prince/princess world against the reality of long work hours, thankless "go nowhere jobs" and no opportunity to do anything other than what society demands. So a whole generation has become so introverted they can barely communicate without a PC and others have snapped and gone over the edge.

What will happen next as Japan follows the world into recession and they add real financial and day to day life stuggle to the mix?

Well I'm sure your coworker has taken notice of you now moron. Hey coworker be sure to notice, SHES NUTS!!!

Do you blame her? I don't! She was only trying to get her job. Remember recession. How many others are in such desperate position.Tohoku Broadcasting Corp (TBC) in Sendai City should assist people in their needs. Sure she couldn't perhaps pay for this. ‘Media Is a Badge of Honor' and should assist people, not just thinking how to collect money from advertising. Her kill threat is not right according to the law, and for girl it is frustration. Judge should give a warning. I'm sure that she wouldn't kill anyone; it was only anger and desperation.
