Police in Fukuoka said Monday that two men have been arrested after the body of a woman wrapped in a blanket was found in a park in Nagasaki on Sunday morning.

According to police, the body is that of Yumi Nakamura, 41, a resident of Fukuoka Prefecture. A man walking in the park at around 6:30 a.m. found the body, TV Nagasaki reported. The park is a short distance from JR Nagasaki Station. Police said that Nakamura had head injuries and that she had been dead for several days.

Police said that later Sunday morning, Toyoki Otori, 30 turned himself in at a police station in Hakata, Fukuoka Prefecture. He was quoted by police as saying that he and another man, Yuji Futaba, 40, had abandoned Nakamura's body in the park. Futaba was taken into custody on Sunday night but has denied any involvement in Nakamura's death.

Both suspects live in Iizuka, Fukushima Prefecture. Police said Futaba was an acquaintance of Nakamura through Facebook.

So why did they clobber the woman to death?

That happened only a three minute walk from my apartment and I can see that park from my window. Ooof, I'm thoroughly creeped-out now... It's a shame for that poor lady.
