Police in Nagoya said Monday that two unemployed men have been indicted for setting off firecrackers in a Starbucks store in Naka Ward at around 10:30 p.m. on April 4.

The two, aged 29 and 21, were charged with forcible obstruction of business in the Starbucks Coffee Sakae Tokyu Inn store. There were 14 staff and customers in the store at the time but nobody was injured, police said.

Fuji TV reported that the pair posted a video of themselves letting off the fireworks on a video-sharing site, which went viral. This led police to arrest them.

The two suspects were quoted by police as saying they were the two men in the video and that they just wanted to become famous, Fuji reported.

I hope they enjoy their 15 minutes of fame; in prison that is. Can they mention stupidity as one of the charges?

Note that their names aren't published - despite being of age when arrested. That's the ultimate fail for wanting to become famous.

29 years old and you want to be famous! When are the men in JP going to grow up? They are famous now for stupidity

@kansaifun, if I'm not mistaken, in the videos (there's more than one) these guys actually introduce themselves while showing their faces and stating their full names prior to yelling their 'message' and throwing the firecrackers into the store, then running off.

As such, there mere fact the videos went viral and that attention will be drawn to this case again will still get them plenty of the fame they so desired.

The pair posted a video of themselves letting off the fireworks on a video-sharing site. In other words, they didn't have a sense of guilt at all. It is unbelievable.

So now they are infamous. Well done fools! I doubt if they will do any jail time, but they will get a hefty fine and have to pay for the damage they did.

29 and 21.

I did this at 11 years old, then discovered alcohol and women, etc.
