Police said Wednesday that two men robbed over 28 million yen from a pachinko parlor in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture.

Fuji TV quoted police as saying that two men came into the pachinko parlor at around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday and threatened an employee who had been carrying the proceeds to the back office to put the money in a safe.

After threatening the man with a knife, the two suspects fled the store with approximately 28 million yen stuffed inside a shoulder bag.

I wouldn't want to be these guys when the Yakuza catch up with them. They should know better.

They really have got balls.

Must have been scoping out the place, they knew who to target and at what time.

pachinko is mainly dominated by korean bosses. I doubt the Yakuza will care, unless they are paid "leave us alone" money.

@kimuzukashiii Zainichi korean bosses, Japanese Yakuza bosses, and bosses back at Korea have connections that go way back. The Yakuza are definitely involved in the pachinko business.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm finding it difficult to care about someone robbing a pachinko parlor. Kind of like in Ocreans 11 or in other heist movies where the "good guys" rob a casino

Probably was a couple yaks who robbed the place!!

HB714: i don;t think Yak members did. Protection moneys paid by Pachinko houses to a local yak organization would be lost and these chimpiras would be in some shallow graves, they know.

He got just 28 Millions Yen for robbing Pachinko? It won't be inside job. If it was inside job and then they will get away with more that amount.

Did they steal a container of teddybear prizes?

28 million yen is only $280,000. He cAN rent dreamliner for only $200,000 if he is a movie star or baseball pitxcher for Boeing image up, regular people, $250,000 plus. Well, even it was $200,000. left over is only $40,000 dor eaxch thief/ That is very poor in NY, Time Square, Park Avenue, they have to get fashinable clothes and shoes and all money would be gone, Boeing only rent to billionaires and multi millionaires who do not own private planes. Need a lot of bank money to begin with.

They knew what they were doing and will never be caught unless it is the Yakuza that catches them or possibly a rival Yakuza family doing it.
