2 racehorses shot dead on farm in Hokkaido

Police in Niikappucho, Hokkaido, are investigating the death of two racehorses, which were found shot dead on a private farm, Fuji TV reported Monday.

The horses were found dead early on Sunday morning, with three empty cartridge cases nearby, police said.

According to police, activities to exterminate harmful deer have been ongoing in the area recently and the horses may have been shot by mistake. However, police said they haven't ruled out that the horses were deliberately shot, either.

I guess they failed to win, place or show.

They let the wrong fools horse around with guns. I swear some of these hunters are like a deer in headlights when it comes to distinguishing animals.

Had a story in montana of a man who thought he shot an elk, brought it to the game Worden to check and tag, it ended up being a man's pet alpaca. Lots of people who hunt shouldn't be allowed yet they do. This case though I think is different.
