10 years?

That's it just 10 years?

Hell, these lowlives should have been hung by their necks and left to rot.

Pirates deserve the worst fate.

The Indian Navy knows what to do with Somali pirates, they just blow up their mother ships, let the pirates wander out at sea, not waste time and money on taking them to courts, jails etc...

Slap on the wrist, and there is limit to the supply of new pirates. The Somalis are laughing about our stupidity.

It may be an issue later if the claims about not understanding the judicial process are true.

Why did the US Navy even bother arresting them?? It was out at sea, right?? They could have just xxxxxx and save us xxxxx right?? You all can fill in the xxxxx.

Or has this sentence been handed down since the killing of Japanese in Mali became big news.

Is japan willing to make itself a target for extreme Islamic activity ?

Prison will probably better than what they had before, I think it's a waste of taxpayers money to keep them here. Their own government should be forced to take responsibility and hold the in their own prison.

there's only one appropriate punishment for pirates, and it's not only 10 years in prison. they got off very easily.

Send them to do Fukushima clean-up works, and maybe let Yoshinori Arai of yakuza group to work together with them.
