Its possible that Ryo Kashiwagi he is telling the truth that he did black out, if that's the case and he did black out while driving the truth will not set him free. No one wins!

I hope the cops check his mobile phone record, lets see if he was using his phone at the time, next, if he blanked out it could be a sign of epperlectic fit, if this is the case a specialist doctor will be able to find this out, if hes epperlectic, he needs to be banned from the road untill the doctor see fit.

Also, there area some streets in an area of trokyo where there are kindergarten and elementary schools, and I've seen the trucks, cars and scooters speed down the clearly marked no speeding children walking zones with such signs. I have called the traffic cops about it, but I have never seen a noticeable improvement. Except for one time I told them they needed cameras at a 4 lane intersection. It seems it was only after a major smash up occurred there, then cameras were installed on all corners.

Before this man is condemned in the court of public opinion I would like to pass on a description of what happened to a friend who had a probable petit mal seizure at my dinner table years ago. He was sitting at the table when he suddenly pitched forward and put his face in his plate of food. He then fell from his chair onto the floor. He recovered immediately and is still around 40 years later with no reoccurrence. I hate to think what the outcome could have been if he had been driving at the time.

To those of you who say the suspect is making an excuse, the news crew interviewed an eyewitness who said that the car suddenly sped up after being parked across the street - or at least was originally going slowly.

Horrible. And not just for the family of the child, also horrible for the driver and his family. Regardless of the circumstances, this was an accident. He didn't leave home intending to kill anybody. A horrible, horrible situation for all.

I don't think there is anything worse than the death of your child. So sad.
