Police said Monday that a 20-year-old man turned himself at a Tokyo police station on Sunday, confessing to the murder of his mother in Sapporo.
According to police, the body of Nami Saito, 51, was discovered by Sapporo police on Sunday afternoon in an apartment in Shiroishi Ward, TV Asahi quoted police as saying. Police said she had been strangled to death.
On Sunday morning, Saito's son showed up at a police station in Tokyo, carrying a knife in a bag, and said he had just arrived in Tokyo after killing his mother in Sapporo. Police placed him under arrest for violating the Firearms and Swords Control law.
Following his confession, police contacted Sapporo police who discovered Saito's body.

Yeah, so..... Another one. I don't even raise an eyebrow anymore.

Let me guess....wouldn't give him money ? Complained about video games ? Told him to get a job ? Or the usual "just felt like doing it because he got mad"

TV Asahi quoted police as saying the body showed signs of having already been there for some time, but showed no signs of external injuries.
He apparently came in with a knife. So does that imply he used a knife to murder his mother? The police said there was no signs of external injury? So what is the real story here? Is he crazy and wanted to take responsibility for it? Or did he kill her by other means?
Fishy fishy story.

He probably doesn't remember why he killed her.

The knife charge was just the most obvious charge to hold him until they confirmed his story.

The police "replaced" him under arrest? Or placed him under arrest?
nath
They places him under arrest for violating the swords control law, but not as a murder suspect. And why not just turn himself in at Sapporo police station? Odd
