24-year-old woman indicted for murder of 82-year-old man in love hotel

Prosecutors in Tokyo have indicted a 24-year-old unemployed woman for the robbery and murder of an 82-year-old man at a love hotel in January.

According to the indictment, Haruka Fujii fatally stabbed Katsuzo Kono from Saitama City in the 10th-floor hotel room in Ikebukuro at around 10 p.m. on Jan 21, Fuji TV reported. Kono, whose body was nude when found, had been stabbed in the chest and thigh and was declared dead at the scene.

Police said Kono's wallet was empty. No knife was found in the room.

Surveillance camera footage showed Kono checking in to the hotel with Fujii at around 8:10 p.m. Fujii left the hotel about an hour later and met two men outside.

Police received a call at 9:45 p.m. from a public phone, in which a woman, who didn't give her name, said she had received a message on Line from a friend that something bad had happened at the hotel.

Police arrested Fujii and the two men the next day (Jan 22). However, the two men have not been indicted for murder. Police said they claim the plan was for Fujii to just get money from the victim for engaging in papakatsu (dating a sugar daddy).

82 with a 24 year old! Why did she have to stab him? There would of been blood everywhere. She could of just told him to take a shower and run away with his wallet. Or self defense, contract killing? Why she had a knife? Seems more to this story.

She'll definitely take the fall for this one. I feel sorry for her parents.

Easy money in the end becomes a problem. Work for it.

get money from the victim for engaging in papakatsu (dating a sugar daddy).

But, it's not dating. It is prostitution. He didn't get naked for nothing.

So she is unemployed but a prostitute. Time to legalize and protect prostitutes and call them “sex workers” so they don’t need two pimps waiting outside.

She's not a minor and she killed the guy so why shouldn't she take the fall? And her parents obviously didn't do a good job raising her.

That’s some cold blooded stuff right there.

She has been indicted and has neither confessed nor been convicted. Sounds to me like finding someone to arrest.

It might also protect clients too. Not sure it will protect women from the two pimps, they would just change their job title to delivery manager.

What a bizarre case. What a morbid way to end one's life.

Hmmm...papakatsu became papasatsu. Sad how the elderly so often become prey for young thugs and scammers and all manner of Human detritus and, worst of all, the loneliness that may have put a still genki jiji into this horrific situation... Requiescat in pace...

Papa katsu. LOL. Never heard of it before.

The scene of the crime in a 10th floor room is interesting. Most love hotels aren't that large. It might have been an office building or apartment with one or more upper floors converted to short-time use by couples. They probably bend safety and sanitary regulations and are almost certainly illegal.

Not much love went on for the old guy at that hotel.

Ah well she obviously wasn’t much good at her job if she needed a knife to kill him!

On first reading the headline I assumed he had died with a smile on his face; obviously not. She is just a cold blooded vicious murderess.

No happy ending to this story.

Saw her picture. Doesn't look at all like a girl capable of this sort of crime. But she was the only one in the hotel room with him, so...

Who said it was a love hotel? Two adults can check into any hotel they want for a quickie.

From another source, all three have admitted to the crime. And she still had the knife, with the man’s blood on it.

Most love hotels aren't that large.

There are plenty of those in Kabukicho, Shibuya, Machiya and even Machida. So I was told...

"However, the two men have not been indicted for murder." I find this a bit odd, if they knew what she had done, or were party to her actions, they are an accessory. IF they really didnt know what she had just done, (most peoples body language would change) if hers didnt, she is one cold blooded murder.

An evil act. From the existence of love hotels to the prostitution to the murder.

An evil act. From the existence of love hotels

So... Having sex with your partner (boyfriend, wife, lover, etc.) is evil?
