Prosecutors in Tokyo have indicted a 24-year-old unemployed woman for the robbery and murder of an 82-year-old man at a love hotel in January.
According to the indictment, Haruka Fujii fatally stabbed Katsuzo Kono from Saitama City in the 10th-floor hotel room in Ikebukuro at around 10 p.m. on Jan 21, Fuji TV reported. Kono, whose body was nude when found, had been stabbed in the chest and thigh and was declared dead at the scene.
Police said Kono's wallet was empty. No knife was found in the room.
Surveillance camera footage showed Kono checking in to the hotel with Fujii at around 8:10 p.m. Fujii left the hotel about an hour later and met two men outside.
Police received a call at 9:45 p.m. from a public phone, in which a woman, who didn't give her name, said she had received a message on Line from a friend that something bad had happened at the hotel.
Police arrested Fujii and the two men the next day (Jan 22). However, the two men have not been indicted for murder. Police said they claim the plan was for Fujii to just get money from the victim for engaging in papakatsu (dating a sugar daddy).© Japan Today
