Police in Zentsuji, Kagawa prefecture, said Wednesday they have arrested an unemployed 25-year-old man on suspicion of fatally stabbing his 52-year-old mother at their home.
According to police, Hikaru Yasukawa is suspected of stabbing his mother Eiko as she slept at around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday. NTV reported that the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to her stomach.
Yasukawa was picked up by police at around 7:30 a.m. walking by himself four kilometers away in Marugame City. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was found near the apartment.
The victim lived with her parents and her son. Her parents heard her crying out in pain and called 119. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead
Meanwhile, local media reported that in 2013, Eiko consulted police after Hikaru beat her.

I wonder if it was the "get a job" thing that set him off.

Japanese society has gotten completely over their head. Makes me cringe to read such an article being reported.

I was literally kicked out of the house at 18. Best thing that ever happened to me.
