Police said Monday they have arrested a 26-year-old man working at a host club in Shinjuku, Tokyo, for stabbing his 25-year-old girlfriend in the neck and other parts of her body.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Tatsufumi Ando, stabbed his girlfriend at his apartment in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, TV Asahi reported.
Police quoted Ando as saying that after returning home quite drunk, he got into an argument with his girlfriend, and then attempted to kill her with a survival knife with a 15-cm-long blade.
After attacking his girlfriend, Ando called police who rushed to the scene.
Although the woman sustained several deep wounds, she was in a stable condition in hospital on Monday, police said.

Well, he was drunk so I guess that explains it all... ?
Stabbed with a 'survival knife' and she survived so apparently the knife is not falsely advertised.

A 15cm survival knife? Oh yeah, everybody has one of those. NOT! I hope she recovers and he is thrown in a dark hole for a long time.

Just plain stupidity. At first alcohol produces euphoria and excitement, however, it eventually causes a person to lose all control.
