Police in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of destruction of property after he cut the skirts of two female high school students at a game center last month.
According to police, Masayoshi Komura is accused of snipping the skirts of two 16-year-old girls who attend the same school at the game center just after 4 p.m. on Feb 18, Sankei Shimbun reported. The teenagers told police they were decorating their photos at a purikura (print club) booth when they felt the presence of someone squatting behind them.
When the girls turned around, a man immediately stood up and left the scene. Later, the two noticed that parts of their skirts had been snipped and immediately contacted the police.
Police said Komura was identified after an analysis of surveillance camera footage. Komura, who claims to be self-employed, was quoted by police as saying, “I got a thrill out of cutting their skirts.”
There were two similar incidents in Chiba City on Feb 3, and police are questioning Komura about his involvement in those cases.© Japan Today
