Police in Tokyo have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of indecent assaulting a woman in her 20s on a street in June.
According to police, Kairiku Kiryu, a company employee, has admitted to the allegation and was quoted as saying, "I was drunk and felt horny,” Sankei Shimbun reported.
Police said Kiryu is accused of calling out to the woman as she walked along a street in Itabashi Ward at around 12:20 a.m. on June 30. He asked her if she was going home, then hugged her from behind and groped her breasts.
The woman shook off Kiryu and ran away and reported the incident to a nearby koban (police box). Police said Kiryu was identified after an analysis of street surveillance camera footage taken at the time of the incident.

Another perverted nutcase terrorising women, least this deviant didn’t claim he didn’t remember, mind you he did include alcohol as an excuse which is the norm.
Probably a loser addicted to online pornography. He needs to have his devices examined by police, who knows what horrors could be found there.

japan has a thriving industry that caters to needs like this. he should direct his energy and attention there instead of preying on the public.

Who would have thought?

...perverted nutcase...
Admittedly a man behaving badly, but it's a fact that the animal side of human life causes both sexes suffering and grief. Society is uncomfortable in the extreme to come clean about the biological pressures that humans must deal with even into old age.

Why be so cruel (and slanderous)? And as for police examining our devices looking for "horrors" is a prospect reeking of a fascist society that most sane folks would rather not contemplate.

Japan is a very safety country for wimmin.

At least he admitted it, even though he apparently disguised his guilt with the "I was drunk" defense.

Safe in comparison for everyone except wimmin as you state who complain about things that happened in their imagination usually.

Is that a legal defense now in Japan ?
I’m going to remember that one

Yes, because they think it means that it was out of their control due to the alcohol, a few bows and apologies and punishment reduced considerably
BakabonPapa
Why didn't he just avail himself of the nearest red light district or late night massage parlor?

The honesty here is just so searing!

Well, I am impressed by his honesty, Still, honesty doesn’t exonerate — he needs a few years in a tiny cell to reflect on the life choices that led him to this situation.
It seems that, according to some people skilled in the art, online pornography addiction leads to these kinds of crimes.
Not being experienced in that dark corner of society, I can’t make a judgment.
But I wonder what led people to commit sexual assault in the pre-Internet days? Can any of the online pornography experts explain it?

God, that sounds a bit off.

...he needs a few years in a tiny cell to reflect on the life choices that led him to this situation.
Prison time would be an over-the-top punishment for this bad behavior and might possibly turn him into a real "pervert" by the time he's released onto the street. Counselling is the way to go after assessing the degree of his danger to women. He's probably just what he says he is: a "horny" aka sexually deprived young man who succumbed to his male urges. In the end, it's the lack of human "free-will" that trumps "choice" every time.
餓死鬼
Whatever punishment he gets, he kind of derailed his own life himself. He could have tried harder to find a partner or, failing that, made do with Pornhub, his hand of choice, trips to the nearest pink salon as disposable income permits, rather than sexually assaulting a random woman.
The lack of Internet, of course.

Sounds like the holes in the Swiss cheese finally lined up. I wonder how many women have not complained about his (probably habitual) behavio(u)r?

What are your points here exactly?
That users of pornography are all in to illegal stuff and that woman who report sexual assaults are all making false allegations?
tora
No, that's been around forever, here and elsewhere, and works especially well if you're a politician or have a lot of money, power and influence.

Yes, sexual assault is all in womens' collective imagination. Righto-steve-o.
Also I noticed I got more downvotes for my comment than steve-o did for his. It seems the number of people who disbelieve in sexual assault and love to call women liars is still way higher on this page than the number of people who know sexual assault is a huge issue in Japan.
