27-year-old woman arrested over murder of mother in Fukuoka Prefecture

Police in Chikuzen, Fukuoka Prefecture, have arrested a 27-year-old unemployed woman on suspicion of killing her mother at their home early Tuesday.

According to police, a man called 110 at around 2 a.m. and said "My wife was stabbed by my daughter with a kitchen knife,” Kyodo News reported. When police and an ambulance arrived at the scene, they found a woman in her 50s collapsed and bleeding from knife wounds to her chest and neck. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Police said the woman’s daughter, Yukino Masunaga, was arrested on the spot but added she has not responded to any questions.

Masunaga’s brother, who was in his bedroom on the second floor, said, "I heard my mother scream from the first floor, and when I went down, I found her collapsed on the floor and my sister holding a knife."

Dangerous being a family member in Japan. Single life would be safer.

I pray that JT will someday stop publishing these crimes as is serves NO PURPOSE but embarrass and upset the general public.

There is no benefits to JT readers at all.

@ WoodyLee - So, which crimes are fit to put in the news, if not murders? Robberies? Indecent exposure? Upskirt filming? Assaults on children?

Unfortunately, not all news can be good news - which is why news outlets have a Crime section.

Some wishes censorship. Go to hell.

JT is right to issue articles whatever are the latest news, like it or not like this family murder.

And yes, family murders seem very common type of murders. I wish there could be some stats about it.

Killing your family is due to lack of communication most of the time in Japan I believe.

Cultural problem. Everything in Japan is bottled up in the family until it explodes. Probably nobody knew anything was wrong except their family members.

WoodyLee has a point. One that I have mentioned before. Keep publishing a certain type of crime, and watch all the copy cat events happen. That’s the problem with mainstream media: “if it bleeds, it leads”

Corey is also right, as is falseflagsteve. The rest of you want to watch mayhem. Shame on you.

Others only want to watch rainbows, unicorns and cute cat memes.

The real world is not all sunshine. Most mature adults can deal with that.

Fighto

Yes, but “most mature adults” can separate necessary news from trash.
