He was only the mule. They didn’t get the king pin.

‘Snow white’ dolls. How fitting...

Okay like usual I am confused by the article's reporting, so I need clarification...

Were these people mules(transporting the drugs on their person or in personal luggage), or were they just shipped the drugs through the mail?

This guy was getting a 2mil yen reward from a product with a 300+mil yen shipment.

Just a small link of the bigger chain. I hope they keep pulling the chain and see what comes up.

I bet the dwarf they used was Dopey.

And for a stash of this size, in Mr. Wong's home country the death penalty would be automatic.

I scrolled down the comments waiting for a pun, and was not to be disappointed! The one I had in mind was Sneezy, but yours is much better.

We think you mean “*deport ‘Him’”. But, You never read the articles. You just comment on the headlines, turn and run. (Sorry, maybe You can’t read*.) We’ll summarize it for you:-

“‘*A** Malaysian national’ and two of his daughters...,Wong Siewmin; his eldest, Chinatsu Ebisawa, 36; & his youngest, 18, a minor).” - *

reads like the daughters may be Japanese citizens. He’ll get deported and they’ll do their penance here.

The ceramic dwarf dolls arrived at Narita airport in Chiba Prefecture

¥384m and use an airport during a strict pandemic with draconian testing?

japan has millions of ships arriving. Somebody is thinking.

6 kilograms and estimated to have a street value of around 384 million yen

that's a ripoff. Did it come with golden "straws" for "inhaling" or what?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

I bet it's snowing in Narita in more ways than one right now!

It won't happen. Because that leads to the highest echelons of society including rightist interests.

Just because they have Japanese names, does not mean they are Japanese Citizens. They could be using the Japanese sounds for the Kanji.

IF the Japanese really wanted to find out what was going on in the smuggling operation, they should have let the delivery go through and watch their every move. The father said he was suppose to get money for the shipment they should have followed him and watch the people he had contacts with. The father is a small fish the big fish is still in Japan because they are the financiers. The daughters well to make fun of this the father got them in the "WONG" predicament!

Yes, of course it’s starting here too, with only a first few foreign people from certain countries and their kind of civil djihad, something they are obliged to do, as in this example the poisoning of the West with drugs, and in this case in the country with almost no drug experience but great naivety, the weakest part of the chain, easiest to handle, although an island nation and strong restrictions, but that doesn’t hinder those so much. A small friendly multicultural family performance in the neighborhood, least suspicious, most welcome, I bet all-in. Considering that only a very few percent of all those test balloons are detected, tons of drugs already reach Japanese streets, nowadays with corona more direct per internet orders and semi-official’delivery or taxi services’, I guess. And most of it won’t come hidden in Snow White figures, no, right per the biggest container ships and airplane freight. That’s the even much bigger fish, not the ones here told us about in the article above.

Lucky they were caught at the Japan end. In Malaysia they would be facing execution. Malaysia has it right.

But the daughters have denied the allegations, saying they had no knowledge of the contents, the police added.

The daughters may not have known. Drug mules often use innocent family members as a screen to appear more 'normal' and therefore attract less attention from authorities.
