33-year-old man arrested for stalking high school girl

17 Comments

Police have arrested a 33-year-old company employee from Tokyo’s Adachi Ward 0n suspicion of stalking a 17-year-old high school student.

According to police, Kazutaka Mochizuki began visiting the girl's apartment building, hiding near the adjunct parking lot and other areas, a total of five times in the week between September 7 and 14, Fuji TV reported. Police said Mochizuki knew when the girl was leaving for school and would visit the area at around that time in the mornings.

Mochizuki told police he first saw the girl a couple of months ago while having a walk in the area and liked her "because she was wearing an odd uniform." He followed her to her apartment building and began lurking around the area on his days off, police said.

Must not have been much of a "company employee" if he had that much time to spend stalking after some school girl!

Dude, get a life. There are PLENTY of things to do on your days off. Seriously!

I think Japanese schools should do away with skirts for girls and have them all start wearing pants.

So girls in Japan became like girls in the west, dressing like boy and behaving like boys? That is the last thing Japan needs, back home in Australia females now days are so male like it is not funny.

Good that there is a law that seesk to prevent this and good that the satsu enforce it.

@Shigure Tatsushige:

Presumably you agree that girls and women anywhere should have the autonomy to dress and behave as they choose to, and not as you prefer them to.

You agree that girls can wear a school uniform without being stalked, harassed, threatened, controlled, and sexualised based on their appearance. I hope you are going after the sections of Japanese society which not only condone, but actively promote these problems.

What exactly is it you dislike about "females" in Australia? If you dislike this unspecified behaviour in women, you must surely dislike it in men, too, so gender is irrelevant, it's the society you dislike.

@Shigure Tatsushige

What is wrong with you dude?

Wearing pants makes a girl look look a a guy for you? So you think a girl should show her legs to prove she a female? looool you must be kidding, right?

what an archaic point of view!!!

If it could prevent them to be harrassed/ stalked by losers like the one in this article, I recommend it for all women especially school girls. You go to school to get an education , not to please dirty weird guys.

Creepy love at first sight.

Has to be one of the worst, most ignorant stereotype I have read on JT.

@Maria

So if say you have a son and he wants to wear a dress to school, you will allow him too? Because presumably you agree that he should have the autonomy to dress and behave as he choose to, and not as you prefer him to. Put my money on it, if you have a son and he wanted to wear skirts and dresses you would go ballistic at him. 1 rule for females and 1 rule for male, so much for being equal.

What should happen is anyone, male or female that stalks kids (boys or girls), on being arrested they should be surgery castrated(Males) or forced Hysterectomy(Females) then tossed in to prison for 20 plus years.

Im old school and like most Japanese, think males should behave and dress like males and females should behave and dress like females, unless you are GLBTI then dress anyway you feel.

Back on topic please. From here on, posts that do not focus on the story will be removed. Also, no bickering will be permitted.

"He followed her to her apartment building and began lurking around the area . seen a lot of them, even walk past kobans...go figure...

I think that ALL school girls and boys including children, should be allowed to wear what they want, they should also be allowed to walk around and play freely, they should not be sexualised, harassed, stalked, in any way.

The creep was caught and will now face the consequences. But this type of thing happens any place and quite often so I'm not sure why this particular case merits national news attention.

The Japanese men were too timid due to their cultures that advocating self restrain. The man should tell the girl that how much he loves her. Doing sneaky things is very absurding and if he told the girl straight forward about his mind is obsessed with her, she will appreciates him very much. The Japanese education should take note over this case.

Even if said sarcastically, and the first sentence makes me wonder, the idea of this is just as creepy as the stalker here.

33 year old stalking a teenage schoolgirl and your advice is that he should:

'tell the girl straight forward about his mind is obsessed with her, she will appreciates him very much.'
