Perhaps the editors will honor the victims by putting this memorial story in the National section tomorrow? - Need more focus on the victims and their surviving families than on the culprit.

It's sad, but let's not forget to think about how easy this was for him to do. Why didn't people jump out windows, use fire escapes? This many shouldn't die from simply a gasoline started fire in a building with windows and doors.

Sadly so many buildings in japan have no safety features and/or fire escapes. The goverments are to blame for this with lax enforcement of safety regs... So many of these tragedies could be avoided if the Govt officials simply did their jobs instead of turning a blind eye!
