37-year-old woman arrested for using lost credit card at Tokyo Disneyland

Police on Wednesday arrested a 37-year-old housewife for buying 65 one-day passports for Tokyo Disneyland with a credit card she found in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture.

Kyoko Kuroda was arrested for allegedly using the lost credit card at Tokyo Disneyland's ticket counter to buy the passports worth about 350,000 yen on Sept 15. According to police, Kuroda found the credit card inside Tokyo Disneyland while she was there with her 8-year-old son.

Kuroda bought 65 passes around 2:30 p.m. and tried to buy more around 4:55 p.m. but the credit card company reported the fraud use to Disneyland. Kuroda tried to flee into the theme park but was soon caught by Disneyland staff.

Kuroda denied the allegations at first but finally confessed, saying, “I wanted to exchange the passes for money to pay back a housing loan.”

Explain this one to your kids! Isn't greed great? This woman gets away with it once, and just has to do it again. Good to see that she was arrested.

Passport to prison or just reprimanding?

she should ran into the cast dressing room and dressed her son as Pinocchio and herself as Goofy!!!

Don't mess with Disney, they're not some sort of mickey mouse outfit.

>“I wanted to exchange the passes for money to pay back a housing loan.”

Classic!

Very smart!

well, perhaps she thought buying "a mere" 65 passes with a lost credit card (which she had no way of knowing wasn't reported lost) wouldn't arouse suspicion... Doh!

Moron of the week award.

"I wanted to exchange the passes for money to pay back a housing loan"

Heck, she could have just asked the U.S. government to bail her out!

desperate housewife!

Why didn't she just withdraw cash out of an ATM then? some people..

Disneyland staff:where is the credit card? Mama:I dont have any creditcard. Kid:Yes you have one mami, the one you found this morning, and we are using like crazy.. Disneyword staff:why did you say that you dont have any credit card? Mama:Because, the housing loan.... loser...

why didn't she withdraw cash out of an ATM? presumably because she didn't know the PIN of the credit card, wouldn't you think?

That's a good point. I don't have a criminal mind..

Silly cow should have stopped after the first scam, but then the ticket will have serial numbers. A no brainer! In a land where to make money is easy, why not use your brain. Sorry- I was thinking as a non Japanese then. Cheers.

Not sure you would actually need to have a criminal mind to know that you need a PIN number to withdraw money from an ATM..

What the heck is a gal with a loan big enough to steal for doing at disneyland? shouldn't they be at the park or something?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

silly woman..!

I would pay to see Mickey, Donald Duck whatever the hell Goofy is and the the rest of the Disney gang running down a 37-year-old woman with batons drawn and perhaps a tazer charged and ready to zap. At least I assume the above are who they mean when they say employees of Tokyo Disney. Maybe they could get some sort of scrappy cat fight between this chick and Poccahontas. Awesome.

Can't pay off her housing loan, but can afford to go to Disneyland ... /sigh.

Poor kid, having to watch his mom doing something that stupid and then being arrested.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

yeah right moron, i pity her son..

Just dumb? If she got away with it on the first purchase what would make her think that it was going to be ok for the second one? Greedy.

She should have bought some Disney merchandise and character goods, they would have most likely gone up in price as soon as she out of Disneyland and not near as traceable. Made Disney will make her and her son work in the it's a small world ride with all the other poor souls who tried to shake down mickey.

Poor woman! She was just trying to have a good time a Disneyland!

What you find anywhere you have to be honest and look for the owner or hand it to police. You could take away something valuable from an honest citizen, and perhaps even poor. Grid will lure you to Devils in detail. At her age she should be shamed of herself.

Was she going to scalp the passports? Who would buy them?

Spidey:

" Was she going to scalp the passports? Who would buy them? "

If you have not noticed, they have second-hand shops for all sorts of tickets (trains, movie, Disneyland, whatever) all over in Tokyo. That would not have been a problem.

The woman should have thanked her luck she got away with it once. But trying the same again 2 hours later was simply dumb.

Poor kid! Foolish woman! Poor financial planning to say the least!.....
