Police in Kagoshima have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting two elementary school boys by punching them in the face and pulling their arms and hair.
The incident occurred at around 5:20 p.m. on Feb 2, local media reported. Police said Kenji Ueno, whose occupation is unknown, assaulted the boys in a store. Police identified Ueno from security camera footage and the boys later confirmed he was the man who hit them.
Police said the boys, who sustained minor injuries, told them they didn’t know Ueno.
Police said Ueno has admitted hitting the boys and quoted him as saying, “I lost my temper because I thought they were calling me bad names.”© Japan Today
