Police in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, have arrested a 48-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed his 35-year-old brother in the chest for playing his video games too loudly.

According to police, Daisuke Kikukawa, stabbed his brother in the left chest with a kitchen knife at around 11:30 p.m. last Saturday, Fuji TV reported. The brothers reside in the same house.

The victim was taken to hospital where doctors said his wound was not life-threatening.

Police said Kikukawa has partially denied the charge and quoted him as saying he did not intend to kill his brother. He told police he became infuriated by his brother’s loud voice while playing video games.

Tell me the 4 and 3 in 48 and 35 are mistyped numbers. Tell me that this article really says 8 and 5.

After reading the article what happened doesn't seem at all as strange as I thought it did after reading the headline.

Though if he is unemployed it's not like he has anywhere he has to be the next morning.

A certainly less known face of domestic violence. Maybe it should better be named under-one-roof-violence.

@mitoguitarman

Nothing wrong with playing video games as an adult, it's like any other hobby.

Investing yourself in any hobby you stab someone over it is a different story.

If it were fortnight, minecraft, any one of those endless FPS or some nonsense like that, I'm not saying he should've done it..........but I understand.
