Police in Kawasaki on Sunday arrested a 49-year-old man after he dressed in women's clothes and entered a female public bath. The man has been identified as Yoshio Okawara, a security guard from Yokohama.
According to police, Okawara was able to enter the women's section of the Japanese-style public bath because he had shoulder length hair and was wearing a skirt and coat when he entered the building at around 3:30 p.m., so the receptionist did not realize he was not female.
Okawara proceeded to the women's changing rooms where he removed his clothes and entered one of the baths in which five or six women were already bathing. One of the women became suspicious and raised her concerns with the receptionist. The male receptionist then restrained Okawara until police arrived.© Compiled from news reports
