A 15-year-old boy, driving without a license, and four passengers in his mini-vehicle were injured when they crashed into a 10-ton truck in Nagoya on Monday morning.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 3:40 a.m. at an intersection in Kita Ward. Sankei reported that the boy driving the mini-vehicle and his four passengers -- three boys in their teens and a woman aged 22 -- all sustained injuries, four seriously. The 41-year-old driver of the truck was uninjured, police said.

Police said there were traffic lights at the intersection and that they will question both drivers to determine if one of them ignored a red light.

The mini-vehicle was owned by the 22-year-old woman, police said.

3:40 in the morning with a 15 year old driving around with his teen buddies.

Sounds like a joy ride gone wrong. The 22 year old women is in a hell of a lot of trouble.

A license to kill.

WTH was she thinking allowing them to do this? And, a 22 year old woman driving around with four teen boys early in the morning? What's up with that?

FIVE in a "mini vehicle" ? That's asking for trouble to start with... No licence ? I guess it could have been worse during the daytime, they could have run down any number of pedestrians.

At least these idiots only hurt themselves.

22 year old woman and teenage boys? Anyone check the obvious question?

15-yr-old boy, driving without license

Isn't this a tad redundant?

It would appear that this 22 year old may have been drinking and may have believed the teen driver would not be arrested if they were stopped by the police. It may also be that the driver was drinking too. I suppose the 22 year old is in hot water for breaking several laws. I'm hoping JT.com gives us a follow up on the results.

As Sioux Chief pointed out above ... the boy is too young to even get a driver's license. So the "driving without license" bit was not necessary in the story. Now ... hope the kid never gets a license ... he's already proven he's dangerous behind the wheel.
