Five people connected to Nishiyama Farm, a farm management company, have been arrested for suspected fraud totaling around 13.3 billion yen.

Hirotoshi Ito, 37, a former executive of Nishiyama Farm, an Okayama-based company offering farm tourism across Japan, faces allegations of fraud along with four other suspects, Sankei Shimbun reported.

According to police reports, the men scammed a woman in her 30s residing in Yokohama City by falsely claiming they would refund her an extra 3% if she used her credit card to purchase products. The victim was reportedly conned out of 7.9 million yen in cash.

Another male victim swindled out of roughly 3 million yen told police that he was initially informed that there would be no risk.

Police suspect that the five men collected around 13.3 billion yen from the alleged fraud.

When you heard the words "no risk" and "extra refund", you should already have alarm bells ringing in your head. There is no such thing as a charitable company.

What is the link between these two things? Seems to be a lot of missing detail.
