5-year jail term finalized for 90-year-old over fatal crash

He will not serve a day of his prison term.

I understand it can be quite harsh to put someone in their 90s behind bars, but suspending the whole sentence would be too cruel to the husband who cant wake up and go to bed without his family in his thoughts. He should spend at least 1 year kept away from society, no one wants to lose his whole family for nothing.

Besides, where is this old guy's family in this story?

This is Ikebukuro, not the countryside, no one in their 80s, 90s needs to be driving around in this chaos, if you are unable to walk grab a taxi like everyone else.

You can bet your kidneys that you or I would not only get a longer sentence, but we would serve every minute of it, no debate on JT.

Nothing can bring back the Mana or Riko to the mourning father and family. The saddest part is this "bureaucrat" LIED about what happened and tried hard to escape as usual the fact that he killed 2 people blaming it on brakes malfunction.

Will probably be a life sentence for him. Not that I have great sympathy..... he continued to blame the car instead of taking responsibility.

He committed the crime, he should do the time. The more so as he made things worse for his victims by lying and trying to weasel out of responsibility for his actions.
